Facebook adds 'Civil Partnerships' to relationship status options

But still no 'gay marriage'...

I was going to use another stock image, but this one was too good to pass up.

"Facebook has added a few extra options to its “relationship status” drop-down box. Effective immediately, options like “in a civil union” have been added alongside single, married and engaged.

The exact wording, or even inclusion, of the new relationship tags comes down to geography. If you live in a country where same-sex marriages are legal — like South Africa or Spain — you won’t see the new terms at all. In the United States, Facebook users can choose between “In a domestic partnership” and “In a civil union” (the terminology changes between different states), while in the UK we get “In a civil partnership.”

Really, what is marriage, but a word?
If it is legally defined as the union between a man and a woman, so long as "domestic partnerships" are granted the same legal benefits, it's all good.
I propose a 'separate but equal' law. I heard that worked well before, right?
